Meet the Tsuruda Family. Meet your Nations Family.
Lloyd and Marie Tsuruda, co-founders of Family of Faith Global Missions (FOFGM), are both lifelong missionaries who specifically serve children and families. Having served in well over 79 countries, the Tsuruda family knew the voice of the Lord when they were nudged to move to Florida to be involved with Nations Church. They first heard about Nations Church launching at the January 2021 Fire Conference. After much prayer, the decision was made to move from their home in Virginia and relocate their family and ministry to Central Florida in order to be a part of Nations Church. It brought joy to their heart to be involved with the global mission and vision Christ for all Nations (CfaN) expressed in a local church.
Marie’s heartbeat of sharing the love of Jesus with kids, partnered with Lloyd’s church planting and teaching, has fit perfectly with what is happening in Orlando. They are able to experience the evangelistic heartbeat to mobilize a local church to reach the nations of the world AND the neighborhoods of Central Florida. Both Lloyd and Marie are faithful volunteers who serve in the Nations Church Next Generation Department as team leads for elementary-aged children. They also host and lead a small group, allowing others to build community and a find a sense of belonging. Often times they are found at community outreaches or sharing new ideas with the Nations Creative Team. Being at Nations Church has allowed them to form a network full of Kingdom connections, which in turn, has allowed their faith to grow and develop. During this season, they are also sharing the love of Jesus with thousands of children digitally through video conferences. The harvest is ready!
Nations Church has a heart to reach people of all backgrounds, ages, genders, and ethnicities which many people find value in, including the Tsuruda family. The leadership, evangelism and discipleship, worship, Next Gen, small group, and missions, are just a few unique areas the Tsuruda family have found to be a blessing to not only them, but the local community. Marie loves that the church is full of amazing leaders with a dream team lead by Pastor Daniel Kolenda. She says, “Nation shaking is at our core from the nations of the world to the neighborhoods of Central Florida. This church is different in its desire and passion for whatever it takes to be a Great Commission base — our DNA is soul winning missions!”
